It has been said by some that those who enter Quetico through Cache Bay or Prarie Portage will be allowed to take in US bought leeches. My outfitter said that they had a "don't ask don't tell" policy. I found out on my trip that they do care! We were paddling in Saganagons Lake and were hailed by a Quetico Park Warden. She issued us a ticket for having illegal leeches. Check your outfitters for a source of legal leeches if you want to take them with you to Canada.
