Thanks, Ken. The new wooden boat is so different than my twenty year old Grumman! Right now, after I've given it some TLC (sanding, varnishing), it looks better than most of my furniture! It's gorgeous. I'm definitely heading into the woods with it soon. My photographs will look better with such a handsome boat in them. I appreciate your setting me at ease.

I've only seen one stripper canoe in twenty years of boundary waters travel. I never even see them on cars. Are there so few of us? Anybody else have comments or stories?
