Well I can't give you any info on Gabbro specifically, but can tell you some general stuff for the area. Late September you can expect temps ranging from high of 55 or so with lows in the lower 30s/ upper 20s. Morning frost is likely. Lake trout fishing will probably be good (in lake trout lakes, of course). Smallmouth fishing will be no better, and probably worse, than mid-September.

Loons are probably leaving. Leaves are starting to drop. Moose are still rutting.
