I am planning (or attempting to) my first trip into the BWCA for early August, 2000. I will be taking my 15 year old daughter who is not afraid of pulling (or carrying) her own weight. In other words, we're not afraid of a "rugged" trip but please keep in mind we are rookies. We are planning on 5 days/4 nights (or maybe a little more.) The main thing we are looking for is solitude. I would like a trip that is off the beaten trail, and am not afraid to "work" for it. We have not ruled out Quetico as long as the access point is from the US side. Any suggestions?
