Nope, haven't used the Bakepacker but I've looked into them. They cook with steam, so they don't brown. It's like eating the inside of the bread without the crust. I like the brown crusty outsides. I opted to buy the Outback Oven over the Bakepacker. I really don't like the Outback for a variety of reasons. I've given up baking on the trail with a couple of exceptions: 1) baking with gear I'm carrying anyway, and; 2) we have a birthday during the trip and I need to bake a cake. Nearly every supper I make frying pan biscuits using flip baking method. I also make pizza using the fry pan by steamming. There are several methods that can be used to make bake goods without extra gear.
