I, like Ken, have come to terms with my feet getting wet while traveling. This year I tried a pair of "Chota portage boots" they are partly leather, partly mesh and have drainage holes. I wore a pair of smartwool socks with them. I was very pleased with the results. They drained quickly, had some ankle support, and had pretty good traction. Unlike Ken, my camp shoes are hiking boots. I like the option of having durable footwear in case we get the chance to do some hiking (not that there are many places in the BW for that but occasionally you may be near a trail). Plus they offer some protection if it's rainy and your site is muddy. For swimming I have a vintage pair of Nike Aquasocks - their about 10 years old, bright pink and ugly as sin but they work.
