Dear Don,
I'm not sure if Stephan is being sincere with you, but if so, he certainly strikes me as being just a tad brazen in his approach. But I must tell you that the Bakepacker has simply been a Godsend for me and my S.O. canoe mate - he (My S.O.) absolutely loves my special creations. Yes, we have made some wonderful quiches, but we've also experimented and made a myriad of yummy desserts, breads, souffles, crepes, and more! It's so very easy, just let your imagination be your guide! And what a special way to wrap-up a memorable day, with a sinfully rich desert like my own "That Man Lake Chocolate Decadence Dessert Supreme" or my "Superior Wild Raspberry Trifle Elegance" accompanied by a warming mug of cafe mocha that has been liberally laced with spirits such as peppermint schnapps or Irish Cream! You're talking about the perfect ending to the perfect Boundary Waters day, and the prelude to a wonderful night if you're with the right company. Let me know if you'd like recipes for some of my favorite creations. Perhaps we might arrange to rendezvous somewhere in the BW or Quetico next summer? I can promise that you'll be welcome by the warmth of our campfire and that you'll not go away hungry or uncared for, my friend. My S.O. and I both enjoy new friends and adventures and really know how to make a fellow paddler feel special. What is your experience level and what are your favorite lakes and routes?
Warm wishes,
Andre (and Eric)
