Thanks to all of you who took the time to post...experience shared is knowledge gained for the rest of us. By the way, be glad you weren't sleeping when that bear got wind of your candy bar!!! Read a story years ago in an outdoor hunting and fishing magazine about two men who were severly mauled by a Kodiak Brown while sleeping in their tent...the only thing they figured out later...one of the guys had his chewing tobacco pouch with him in the tent...now that is a substance that has an odor...yowser!!
