We are traveling up the Basswood river to Argo and would like to know about the portages around the falls regarding difficulty and length, the rest of the trip up the Crooked chain to the Argo portage. How long with this take from Lincoln Isle? Is it terribly tricky getting to that Argo portage through the Crooked lakes? How wet and long is the Argo portage? Give us some info please. We have all the maps, but this is a great site and you all seem to have great ideas and experiences to share. I will be able to give more imput next year after this trip instead of just asking.
