Re: North to South Quetico Trip

I did this trip 2 years ago. We put in at Nym, worked our way to Sturgeon, Maligne R to Andrews creek to Darky R & Darky L, then over across Brent, McIntyre, Sarah eventually across Pine Portage and out on Moose in the BWCA. We camped every one of our 14 nites in Quetico. We had 2 layover camps of 2 days each and figured we did about 200 miles.
We had some pretty stiff headwinds especially on the Maligne River (we were heading west - so it made sense). There were 6 in our group, 3 canoes. Canadian Waters in Ely carried us, all our gear and canoes up to Nym in one day for a very reasonable price, we parked our cars in their secure lot and they picked us up at Moose. It was a great way to go and not hassle with shuttling cars 6 hrs apart from each other.

It was a terrific trip - do it!
