I see that campsite you're talking about on the south bank of the channel. Guess that point is like a walleye feeding spot at the right time. Will make it a point to try it if we're in the area.

I've done some night fishing solo and have really enjoyed the solitude and thinking space. Imagine a flat lake, windless night, only the stars, and hearing every little and BIG noise in the woods as you're fishing the shoreline.
Using topwater lures that night, I had many monster hits and only caught one bass, but it was worth it. Quite an adrenaline rush hearing the splash or slurping sound.

This was an excellent evening I'll always remember. My other option was to sit in camp and listen to some newbies to Queitico complaining about how bad the fishing was during the day.

Life is full of choices, thank goodness..................
