Re: Walleye Tips

Dave,
Silver Falls is the connection between Cache Bay of Saganaga Lake and Saganagons Lake - it's also the portage around the falls when you enter Quetico via Cache Bay.
It's quite a beautiful sight, especially when the water is high and the sun is shining. This has been our entry for the past several years, but Rockhead got too old to make the carry and even I admit it's getting to be a pain in the ---.
The outlet has been the scene of more than one memorable adventure for me and my friends - some very good ones (great walleye fishing one day, but haven't caught anything there since; running the bottom end of the outlet coming out of Ottertack to Saganagons - the day Curtis ruddered us around backwards [there's points on both ends and we got a new perspective: where we'd been rather than where we were going]), one not so good that could have been very bad.
I posted that story somewhere on the site, but can't remember where (I guess I'm blocking it out - it's the only place I've ever dumped a canoe in my life). And, Rockhead was there for that, too. His picture of us after the dump is posted in the pics section.
Give him credit though - he made sure we were OK before he started ragging me. And after the ragging I gave him and Curtis for running on a reef in Saganagons (he was in the bow, thus the name "Rockhead"), I guess I deserved it.
