Dave, I'd be glad to give you any info I can. I fish on Keweenaw Bay (Lake Superior) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The water there is over 300 ft. deep in places according to maps. I am not really very experienced at lake trout fishing myself but I have done it a few times. Most winters it is OK to fish many miles out into the lake but this winter we don't have the ice.
