They are strict about your entry points when they are assigned. Last fall my father and I did a fly in trip to Lac La Croix and paddled our way back out to moose lake. Our entry point was McAree lake. On McAree lake there are several entry points and last year we ran into the same problem you are asking about. We went in via motor boat with another party. They also had McAree as their entry point but it was a different location. We dropped them off first and then had to travel 1 mile south on Lac La Croix to get to our entry point. Even though we were heading in the same direction/lake, they would not let us use the same entry point as the other party. Once they drop you off, it is entirely up to you which direction and exit point you want. I hope this makes sense. Good luck.
