They're all good when it's 5-10 minutes from swimming in water to swimming in oil or stew.
Or, maybe it's the ambience.

I've an idea - let's open a diner (can't spell resteraunt tonight) where the patrons sit on million year old rock, fight the flies for food, do their own dishes, chase off bears and/or deer mice on occasion, you know the rest... Think we'll make any money?

I travel for a living and eat in restaurants (there, I did it) all the time. I've only received the same value for my money on a very few occasions, and those times were mostly due to my dinner companions (same as up North, funny how that works out isn't it?)
