For those of you that don't live close to the area it will be an early summer in Quetico/BW this year. No snow in Thunder Bay in early March? Usually it's like this in mid April or later.

I would anticipate the lakes will open a full four weeks early and a late April/early May trip should be very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the forest fire risk will likely be bad especially after the wind storm. This could be the very best or very worse year for the area. Let's hope it's not too dry.
