Randy, I travelled some of that route but was heading in the opposite direction. We had entered from Basswood Lake, across Crooked, crossed Bottle portage and came out through Agnes and down the Nina Moose River. The Nina Moose River portion was quite pleasant but very litte in the way of any fishing. We didn;t have any trouble with low water or keeping direction, but I could see that at some times low water might be a concern in some places, slowing travel. We camped on Agnes about 1/3 up the right side headed north as you are going. It was a nice site. I had been told to avoid the sites on the opposite side of Agnes due to bears. The weather while we were in Agnes (passing cold front) suppressed the fishing so it was kinda slow and we did not stay long as we were travelling out. I agree with the earlier posts above that you will see significant tow boats and even some illegal motor traffic by the indians in the Lac La Croix area. I would suggest getting "around the bend" of Fish Stake Narrows and into Lady Boot Bay before camping. There are numerous sites to choose from. We used a beautiful camp site on the right as you head toward the riveulet leading to Pocket and Gebeonequet. it was about 1/4 mile from the entrance to the riveulet. Once out of Lady Boot Bay the traffic should thin significantly. Have a great trip!
