A small AAA style flashlight, a map and mark your camp on it. A small compass, nothing fancy, if you get fogged in or disoriented on a lake, between it and the map you should get headed in the right direction. A few of the small alcohol pad packets, they help to start a fire as well as medical. One more thing I am putting in my pack is a few aspirins, I've never had a heart attack and I don't know if they help but they won't hurt. And remember the best first aid is to stay calm and think about what you're doing. Have a great trip. Skinny
