Map preferences

I've been working on about 80 new additions and some improvements to the portage database. I know Quetico well enough but I need some real BWCA maps. I was thinking that since I need to check maps anyway, adding a map index number might be helpful for others. So I'm wondering what everyone's preference is? McKenzie? Fisher? USGS topographic? (Or Canada's equivalent)

I've always used topo maps (1:50,000) and I've never been lost. Well, except for that one overcast night... it was awful dark! (GPS... I know.) Anyway. The thing I originally liked was the longitude and latitude lines which I always intend to use for campsite/feature recording. (Although I never actually do.) They're not even water resistant, but I have some that have been with me for years and are still in good shape. Although some areas are quite faded in spots.

If there are any choices besides McKenzie, Fisher, or USGS type topographic, I'd love to hear about them.

BTW - To those or you who are contributing, thanks... They'll be up soon, very soon. And if all goes well - much quicker in the future.
