Boundary Waters LC-10 screen

muskrat, I place my LC-10 on the floor of the canoe right in front of my feet. I have had no problem at all seeing the screen images. Yes, the screen is small (2 x 2.25 inches, 64 x 64 pixels) but, amazingly, I have found it to have excellent resolution. For bottom related fish you can put it in expansion mode - this displays a blown up view of only the bottom half of the depth scale. This works great for walleyes - and I will also use it for lake trout later in the season once they head deeper.

I bought my LC-10 at the Minnesota SportShow a year ago during the introductory promotion for $249.99. Out of curiosity, what price does Cabelas have them listed at now? I've seen them at around $280 in stores.

I must admit that I was surprised when I read in the manual that the screen is only 2 x 2.25 inches. I have never considered it to be too small to read easily - even when viewing it at longer distances in larger motor boats. I tried it out for the first time at last year's MN fishing opener for walleyes and northerns. I put it on my uncle's boat, and he was so impressed with it that we never bothered to haul his flasher and heavy battery out of his truck.
