Travel along the Gunflint Trail is "regulated" by the Sherriff's Dept. If you have a confirmed reservation, you'll have no problem. Most of the debris was cleared from the trail when we came out last Friday, although the logging companies (I presume)have stacked many cords on/near the roadside.

Our outfitter (VCO) told us there were 19 casualties in the BWCAW attributed to the storm. Worst was crushed legs caused by a falling tree. There were no reported fatalities.

Travel in Quetico was not affected (Man Chain via Cache Bay).
