What I find that works pretty good are plastic olive jars that you can pick up at most delicatessens,restaurants and grocery stores. they are most often just thrown away when the olives are gone. The jars are about 15 in. high and 10 in. in diameter. Make sure the o-rings on the lids are in good shape to keep things waterproof.You can keep crushable food items in them and the jars act like a cooler when kept in the shade. Two to four jars will fit into a large Duluth pack.
