I once tried to use Skip in the manner noted in his reply to Tom Swulius ("White bellied fishing lures for Quetico"). I palomar-knotted the big slug to some hunnert pound test, lofted him downwind and bounced him off a large hunk of karst and jerked him across the top of some fine Northwoods water: NO HITS! It seems his white side kept going top side. So, I now use him only "low and slow".
