As Skip says, the 3rd falls has a great campsite. Also, if you put your lifejacket on and shoes, you can slide in the water and float through some of the current. This really depends on the water level, where you put in, Swimming strength etc. You will probably see someone doing this. You can do this if you're careful. When you approach Canyon Falls, be very careful and stay as close the the shore (left) as posible. This is a very beautiful portage, but it is also very steep along the river and kids need to be told to stay away from the edge. One year when I was there, an 8 year old boy died from falling off the edge and drowned. I'm not trying to scare you away from doing this, just realize that someone has drowned at every falls throughout the years. Listen to the ranger at Cache Bay carefully and mark every portage. It is one of the best places in the Quetico. There is also/or was a campsite at the N point right after Canyon Falls. I'm not sure since the fire.
