We're leaving Saturday with our first day in the Quetico on Monday, through Stanton Bay. Earlier I'd heard of concerns over fires due to the blowdowns from last year. We have a shorter trip this year due to scheduling conflicts, so we won't get as far as in the past. We'd intended to head for Poohbah, but that may have to wait until another year. Anyone who's been there recently have comments on portage conditions, water level, or?????????? We left last year just as the blowdown was starting. We were there a few years ago when the fires closed many entry points. I'd really enjoy a little boredom!
