JUST SPENT A WEEK IN THE QUETICO THRU CACHE BAY OVER THE SILVER FALLS PORTAGE. WE GO INTO THE SAGNAGNAGONS JUST A SHORT DISTANCE. WE CAMP ON A ISLAND WHERE THE LAKE WIDENS OUT. LAST YEAR MY DAUGHTER CAUGHT A LAKE TROUT WHILE WE WERE TROLLING FOR WALLEYE. THIS YEAR WE CAUGHT THREE LAKE TROUT WHILE TROLLING FOR WALLEYE JUST OFF OFF OUR CAMP SITE. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS WHAT TYPE OF LURES AND HOW DO YOU RIG THEM TO CATCH LAKE TROUT. I HAD A DEPTH FINDER THIS YEAR AND LOCATED SEVERAL FISH AT 36 TO 48 FOOT OF WATER. I ASSUMED THESE WERE LAKE TROUT. WE JIGGED AND TROLLED FOR THESE FISH. WE PUT HEAVY WEIGHTS ON OUR SHAD RAPS BUT COULD NOT GET THEM TO THE DEPTH THE FISH WHERE LOCATED. I WOULD LIKE SOME INPUT ON HOW TO CATCH LAKE TROUT. Posted by WALLY WALLEYE on July 18, 2000 at 01:28 |
