Different things are important to different people. To me (and a lot of others, I suspect), a quality cup of coffee is a vital part of the day. Instant coffee just doesn't cut it! I bring preground, pre-measured high quality coffee (Seattle's Best or similar) in ziplock bags and brew it in a drip system into a thermos. It's important to me. Disposal isn't a problem; dried coffee grounds burn just fine, and, in the event of a fireban, I'm willing to pack them out.
