Although I'm not an Ansel Adams buff, I had the opportunity years ago to see his archived prints. The "handler" asked what we wanted to see. She had a real puzzled look on her face when I asked if there was something from the boundary waters. I took it as a no, laughed and opted to see her favorites.

It's a hard enough place to shoot 4x5. I couldn't imagine anyone dragging an 8x10 camera not to mention tripod, film holders... That would be real dedication to large format.
