We are planing a trip of 2/4 out of Brule towards Winchell lakes area. Will be base camping and would like to know of your favorite sites/scenery. Are Cone lakes and Cliff lake good scenery? Hoping to hit fall colors. Some fishing for food, any bait suggestions? Is this a well travel area, because it is south of Gunflint also? Do you know if it is a campfire resticted area this year? We enjoy day tripping from base camp, any loops or out/back trips you can share? Are showers available at Brule landing/camp ground? Thanks.
