Way to go Neva! They do seem to be late summer creatures. I was in Quetico last week but the two I saw escaped un-photographed. I wanted a shot because the last month or two that original post has been getting an unusual number of hits from people searching for black and white bees. So it seems we're not the only ones interested.

Unless you or someone you know can get a good shot or two of it to e-mail to me, I'd like you to send your e-mail address using the contact page and we'll find a way to get some pictures of it to put on the site. Hopefully we'll get lucky and someone who actually knows will enlighten us.
