We were close, just ......

got out of Brule to Winchell area, up to Gaskin over to Omega, and out through Cones to Brule. This area was well traveled this summer, hilly country (beautiful) trees are just now turning to fall colors. The trail holds more colors with the maple trees. Water is warm, fishing is good (smallies, pike), weather was windy and temps were some of everything (30s to 65). We tripped last year in the last of October, just a note: Be prepared the weather can change fast! We had 6" of snow before we got out. If your area is anything like where we came from you'll have a good trip, hunting season for grouse is open, moose are on the move, we saw several. Eagles are still around and geece are headed south. Enjoy and stay dry!
