Short version:
Highs in the 60's and 70's lows 40's and 50's, perfect camping temperatures. High water, very few people, even fewer annoying bugs. Lots of wind, moths and mushrooms. Beavers active all day long, greedy squirrels stamping their feet and chewing me out for being in their territory, flocks of geese landing to rest for the night and moose that aren't shy anymore. Not much fall color yet and no loon crescendos at dusk, but still plenty of hungry fish and a few hungry gulls. Found out that ginger snaps are really good dunked in hot cocoa and 151.
