FYI and way cool shot

After my trip I stopped at the Dawson Trail Pavillion and called my wife to tell her I was out and if she didn't see me by the next day to call the hiway patrol and not some pilot. Anyway, I shot these flyers through the window about the blowdown in Quetico. I've seen news about recent action on old blowdowns in the BW ( from the Star Tribune ) but not much info north of the border. Anyone have any more info about Quetico.

As I wrote this I received the following timely e-mail:
"This awesome picture was taken in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana on August 6, 2000 by a fire behavior analyst from Fairbanks, Alaska by the name of John McColgan with a Digital camera. Since he was working while he took the picture, he cannot sell or profit from it so he should at least be recognized as the photographer of this once in a lifetime shot." All I can add is WOW!
