Re: Bullwinkle's

Greg,
Can't match that story (completely), but we have had several moose encounters in our 10 year history.

We had a great time and a cooperative/photogenic bull moose coming out of Lost Bay several years ago.
He had a decent rack which he was using to uproot water plants, and he seemed to be enjoying our photographic attention. Then like many a TV star (so I've heard), he lost interest in his dinner and our attention, climbed out of the weed bed and crashed into the woods.

Another time, we were paddling the creek from North Bay to Burke Lake. It was rainy and misty, and we were travelling into the wind. I was in the bow, and my partner decided to see how close we could get to the cow grazing in this creek. He paddled, I photographed until we were about 30 yards from her. At this point, I began to wonder how I'd like 5-600 pounds of p_____ off moose in my lap when she finally noticed us. I lightly tapped my paddle on the gunwale. She looked up, and rather nonchalantly (considering the circumstances), crossed the creek into the woods.
