I have gone at the end of May and in Sept. Sept is the best time I have experienced. Less traffic, cooler nights and no bugs. Temps are around 70 during the day and is very comfortable even wearing shorts. The nights are a bit cooler though. The fishing is excellent, at least the first two weeks of the month. You can fish shallow or deep and find fish. Have a great day.
