There is a spot to camp on the falls between Kawnipi and Murdoch. The camp spot is not the best but the fishing from the bank is great. If nothing else it is a great spot for a shore lunch and fishing to rest your back.
I could tell you a spot that is the best for walleye and smallmouth that I have found in my 15 plus trips the Quetico (on murdoch), but... I just can't remember right now.
I will tell you that in my opinion, by far the bet time is around June 1st.
