I agree with skip, Aug/Sept trip is a good time to go. 60's/70's during the day and in the 40's at night. The bugs are normally gone. I would also suggest that you base camp and go out everyday from your camp site. My father and I flew in and paddled out last year (100 miles) and wasn't quit as relaxing as we would have liked.
