Re: We got bones!

Honestly, spreading butter was once described as my culinary fillet talent! I found a similar site last year from a link I have forgotten, but it was not as good at describing the Y bone removal. This is a good description, but we are not as picky and we tend to leave more than a few of the Y bones for frying. Whether it is because of the lack of finding a flat rock or the anticipation of eating the fish, we tend to leave the bone picking up to each camper, as part of the wilderness experience. Our folks love the fresh fish dinners so much they would eat the ends off there fingers had they not been attached. Yes, we got bones but we don't mind, fantastic fish dinners savored in the BWCA are all that's remembered, and that's important! So here's to bone picking and finger licking, mmmm-good. Thanks Greg, for sharing the info.
