My wife and I were in Brent and Comnee June/July 1999. We stayed on a nice Island campsite in Brent close to the portages to Comnee. The site was up high on a rocky knoll. Fishing was better on Brent than Comnee. We also spent more time on Brent. We had no trouble locating Lakers. We caught lots of Trout trolling and jigging in Brent, just south of camp. No Lakers in Comnee. Comnee looks a lot different than most Quetico lakes, no high cliffs, mostly low shoreline surrounded by tree. We caught mostly pike in Comnee along with a few walleye. There is a small river that flows from Comnee to Brent that marks the portages. Don't past it up without fishing it.
