Re: Hoosier Paddlers - Boat show in Indy?

The Indy Boat show (I think it starts on the 2nd Friday in Feb, maybe the 3rd. Our outfitter has the dates posted - I'll find out and post them) is a great way to meet different or new BW and Q outfitters, find out how the winter's been, and generally have a lot of fun while wasting time.

Tackle town is usually pretty big and you can find some bargains, especially near the end of the show - the vendors don't want to carry all that stuff home. The smaller specialty shops offer much in the way of plastics - the bigger vendors don't usually offer many floor bargains.

The sponser's usually invite many pro fisherman to give clinics on BASS and the Walleye tours - worth the time in many cases (unless you tournament fish in Indiana - our club doens't weigh many limits even on slot lakes).

I would really like the chance to meet some of the folks from this board. Tom S. and I have been discussing how we're losing some enthusiam for hard work up North; might be a way to get the passion restored. I'd hate to think that daily life would steal these dreams and the enjoyment from me.

I'll be glad to be the "guide" (no fees involved) if we can decide on a date. Of course, Non-Hoosiers are very welcome if you have cabin fever and need some "dream time" and the time to make the trip.
