On the east end of Keats Lake there is a grand campsite. On the island west of Have a Smoke Portage (Snake Falls). Hey the fishing was good below the falls. We were there in August but it's been a few years since that trip.
If you go to the south channel heading to Shelley lake watch the rapids on the first bend. My partner and I took a nasty spill there managed to loose all our maps and plus some gear.
There is a nice view of Keats Lake atop the portage in from Chatterton Lake that is the 100 rod portage on the south ern end.
