You have to call the toll-free number for Ontario Parks 1-888-ONT-PARK. Wait on hold for as long as it takes to dump a load over a log and ask about wilderness travel permits. Have your charge card ready if you know your dates and entry point.
Beaverhouse is a very popular entry point, and deservedly so. It is a rewarding, beautiful, memorable entry. Get your reservation a.s.a.p. Expect to jam your vehicle into the bush as parking can be limited. The road is more developed than it used to be. Years ago we crossed rickety log bridges with a person spotting from the road to keep the tires on the planks. You won't have to do that now. Be sure to have a good spare tire, though, as the rock road can cause flats.
You will catch pike, bass, walleye and trout on Beaverhouse. Jig daredevls about 60' deep off the point by the ranger station for trout.
From the ranger station beach, travel east around the waterfall/log sluice onto Quetico and you're off to a grand adventure. Plan for 6-8 days (no lay-overs) to French Lake.
Wish I was there now.
