A short time ago WALLY WALLEYE had a great idea: "I would like to know if others have had bear incidents in the Quetico and BWCA. I am particularly interested in knowing which area has had the most bear activity. The BWCA has had more bear encounters for me than the Quetico. Have others had the same bear problems I have encounterd in these same areas? What other areas have bears been encountered. Look forward to hearing from others."

I think this might be a valuable and interesting group project if everyone who was lucky or unlucky enough to see a bear participated. For small minds like mine it would also be helpful if it were bear specific and kept together in one place. I thought something similar to the guestbook format might work for starters. I'm in the planning stage and I'd like some input. What would be good to know? Here are the tentative fields I propose:
