We have camped on lonely 3 times in the last 10 years and
not seen any bears, although we have had problems on the way in near "batch". We always had great luck fishing by making loops around the narrow island on the north side of Lonely. Draper is also a good day trip for walleye and bass. We saw moose twice, once on Walter and once on Lonely. There is a great camp site on the NW side of lonely on a point by a small shallow bay. If the camp site is taken there is another we used on the narrow island about half way on the west side. Look out for moose spoor.
