I've heard lots of different advice surrounding the best method of keeping the inside of my tent dry during wet weather. For my upcoming trip in May, I'm thinking about a double ground cover approach -- two pieces of plastic sheeting, one placed between the ground and the floor of the tent, the other inside the tent. But I'm curious -- what have you found works? What materials work best? What's the trick to rigging a ground cover so that rain water doesn't flow between the ground cover and the floor, and thus get forced into the tent via the pressure exerted by two sleeping bodies. Obviously I'll make sure all my seams are well-sealed and the rain fly is properly installed, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks! Posted by Illini John on April 09, 2001 at 22:30 |
