The survey doesn't give enough options. :)

For years we used nylon copies of duluth packs, but now we use 2 real Duluth packs, of modest size, 1 each per person for personal/sleeping gear, and a 30 gal barrel for the food/cooking stuff (got tired of hanging the food pack).

As for the pics, your right, they look way too high. Usually with the packs, we just set them on end but they aren't as high as those in the pics. We also set the barrel on end, which gets high, but we pack the top of it with light stuff, so the cg is still low if not below the gunnels.

My 1st reaction at those pics is that they have WAY too much stuff.
