I am headed to the BWCA for my 1st time in June. I am entering at Snowbank Lake on June 2nd and will be exiting at River Point Outfitters on the 22nd. I am an experienced canoer as is my partner and we are both 23 and in good shape. We are looking to set up some base camps, hopefully off the beaten path, and fish for smallmouth with fly rods. I purchased Furtmans fishing book he makes it sound like there are no smallies in the lakes that are deeper in. Is this true? Do you guys have any suggestions. I am sure we will also want to try for some other species as well. Posted by PAangler on April 20, 2001 at 09:30 |
