I spoke with Quetico Park officials on 5/1/01 or 5/2/01 (last week)who said there was still a good bit of ice on several lakes on the northside. However, they expected most of it to clear off due to strong winds expected over the weekend. It's a good bet even these lakes are free of ice by now....
