I completed a neat loop earlier in May that included Praire Portage. It took
me 7 days (I will post some photos). N E way here is the path to the best
of my recollection, Saganaga, Cache Bay, Saganagons, the connective tissue (Wet Lake),
Kawnipi, (south) to Agnes, Sunday, Burke, Basswood(?), *Prairie Portage*,
it's getting hazy, Knife, Carp,(? lake) Knife, Ottertrack, Saganaga. I wasn't
real aggressive but the new yak was faster than I expected. The trout at
some points along the way would have jumped in the boat... Any way
you could follow a similar path there is a lot of variations. In Peace, JA
