I just got back from my 15th or so trip. I have found that the more I go the less I need. I have the list down to an art. The problem is getting my buddies to trust me. They always want to bring extra crap we don't need. This past trip we went for 8 days to the center of the park. Took plenty of booze, (and yes Yukon was there) ate like kings, did one trip portages and never missed anything but my girlfriend. We're always amazed at the first portages after the Ranger station on Basswood at all the people with sooooo much stuff. Last trip we saw two guys that were going for 5 days that had 5 packs! Everyone of them heavier than any two of ours! They must of had one hell of a party!
